How is it possible to love them so much, right from the very beginning?

It's just one of life's miracles, I guess...

At nineteen, I gave birth to one of those miracles, and my life has never been the same.

I remember looking into her eyes and saying, "It's just me and you." I was so scared. I felt so alone. I wasn't sure if I could raise a child by myself, but I loved her so much that I was determined to find a way. Even now, I could cry thinking about how scared I was.

In an effort to make a better life for her, I enrolled in college, but I soon realized how difficult it was to raise a baby alone, work, go to classes, and do homework. I was doing it all for her, but I was missing out on watching her grow and change. My heart broke, and again, I felt very alone...

In the end, I made a decision. I began to take out student loans to pay for college related expenses, which by meaning covers a large area of expenses beyond tuition and books.

By doing this, I was able to work less and spend more time with my daughter. I was able to enjoy being a mother, instead of being so overwhelmed. I was able to watch her play, listen to her stories more often, and help her with homework when she started school. Above all though, I was able to raise my daughter, and to truly be a mother...

To this end, I now owe more than $50,000 in student loans. When thinking about my story, I've often wished that I could help other mothers who are in similar situations. Then, it came to me... I could start a fundraiser to help pay off students loans. First, I would pay my own educational debt, then I could begin to give to others. To do this, I need people... I need others to give a gift of kindness, a gift of hope.

If you choose to be a part of this effort, you can send check or money order to the address on your right, or you can donate instantly by clicking on the paypal button.

Thank you so very much!

................................................................................
